In in 1968 the North American Soccer League kicked off. The colorful league featured many great players from
overseas paired with the top stars from North Amerca. Fielding teams from Canada to Hawaii, the league had
it's ups and downs and finally folded in 1984. Many people attribute the success of Major League Soccer to the NASL.
